Who are you?
We are a family of believers made up of a truly diverse range of people. We are from Catholic and Protestant backgrounds, as well as those with no previous religious or church experience, united together through Jesus Christ as a Baptist church.
The Open Door is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention with a very comfortable “at-home” feel. In many aspects, we function as one big family, supporting, helping, and encouraging one another in the Truth. We welcome you to come and be a part.

How long is your Sunday service?
Our Sunday service is approximately 90 minutes and includes a contemporary worship service and Biblical teaching. It begins at 10:30 am.

What is Connect Class?
Connect is our small group bible study time from 9:15-10:15.
There are classes for all ages of children as well as Adult Women’s Class, Adult Men’s Class, and our Adult Co-ed Class.

What is your Wednesday night service?
Wednesday nights are a bit more informal and are when you truly get a feel for the hospitality of The Open Door.
We begin with dinner at 5:30. All guests eat for free on their first visit. After that, we do ask for a donation of $5/ person or a $15/family max to help offset the cost of groceries.
Bible study follows dinner at 6:15.
Nursery is available for children, infants – kindergarten.
1st – 6th-grade boys are invited to be a part of Royal Ambassadors
1st – 6th-grade girls are invited to be a part of Girls in Action.
Youth meets at what we call "The Back Door" for youth-centered bible teaching.
What are Home Groups?
Home Groups are where we remove the "big church" feeling. They are where you remove your anonymity and form friendships, connecting over your shared beliefs, sharing a meal, and sharing the highs and the lows of life together.
Home Groups meet twice a month at a group leader's home. We currently have four groups meeting at various areas of Acadiana.
Who is on staff?
Our Pastor is Jeffrey Williams.
Kendra Wright is the church administrator. Victoria Bellard is the children's church director. Chap Gary leads worship.
And we have a few other employees and volunteers imperative to the operation of The Open Door.
